Kids are usually cute.

Yesterday my boss' kids came into work and one of them drew me this fab art. I made him sign it and now it's hanging in my cube.

Also, they loved Bomb Eater.

I cried a lot and then we spooned.

Smiling Like I Mean It
[songs that make me smile no matter what]

2. "Antonia" - Motion City Soundtrack. A love song with an unfolding narrative that balances obscure details and the big picture. And it's those details that make me smile, and the revelations that make me swoon.

The why.

He gave me my birthday present early since he'll be UK style on the actual day. I don't know if I'd trade kisses and seeing his face for this, but! It is a freakin' LAMB luxe bag!!!!!!!!!! It's so pretty, I'm scared to actually use it. But I will this week as I jetset about the country!

Stoked for grown up purse. Stoked to pretend to be a grown up. And ever so thankful for the gift, and the man who gave it to me.

My favorite.

Move along.

Maureen and Jesse flashed their new Against Me shirts at the show last night. The Williamsburg Music Hall is still under construction, but the show was great despite the constant earthquake of the bass drum.

Met up with friends in Manhattan, where Neil and Jesse spent most of the night talking about and playing with their iPhones and the rest of us talked about Jonah. Below, see Chris trying to give Jonah a taste of his own medicine as they said bye.

Went to Tribe where Adam joined us for shots. Good fun, great people.

I've spent most of the week in eager anticipation of this weekend and my vacation!
