Brooklyn, Brooklyn take me in.

Last night after work Jesse, Diaz, Erica, Jim, Adam and I traveled to Coney Island to take in a Brooklyn Cyclones versus Staten Island Yankees baseball game. Going to Coney Island for baseball has been one of our favourite summer activities since we since moved to New York. Even though the Cyclones lost, last night was no exception to our usual funtimes.

I'm taking a three-day weekend starting tomorrow and we're heading to a little house on Fire Island for some beach and sun! Ever been to Coney Island or Fire Island? What are you doing this weekend?

All over, all over.

By the way, we had a great time on Tuesday night. The Baracklyn Cyclones won! They went by "Baracklyn" instead of "Brooklyn" for the evening in a show of presidential pride. We got a Barack Obama bobblehead too!

Jesse flew back to LA yesterday; by next week the MCS dudes should be mostly done with the recording process for the new album. Then it's off to mixing and mastering and production and all that jazz - but next week Jesse's back! Hurrah!

PS This is what my hair looks like as of late in this crazy hazy humid weather. Sigh.

Life would be a ding-a-derry.

Erin put some great pictures up of our Coney Island trip! I shall share:

Jesse, Jason, and I are on that thing. The Cyclone!

Erin in front of Nathan's with her hot dog and beer!

Just take a look at these faces! Except for mine. That's what happens to my eyes when I smile REAL big.

The roommates, my faves. For obvious reasons.

Scene: one of us yells HOT DOG! and we all look behind us to see a giant, walking hot dog. Without hesitation, we all run up next to it and say PHOTO! We made him late for the on-field race he was doing, and he got disqualified. Woops.

Erica and I posing, and me falling over the chair mid-snap. Typical klutzy Jessica.

Erin & Jason. Though it may not look it here, Jason actually had a good time.

We've either a) had some beer, b) celebrating the Brooklyn Cyclones victory, c) practicing our jazz hands for the boardwalk musical auditions or d) all of the above. Who wants to punch those two?
