Lots a goin' on.

Last night Erica and I hightailed it to the LES to see the Photo Atlas show @ R Bar. Ever since seeing them perform at CMJ two years ago, I've been enthralled by their live show and hip-shaking music. So, Erica and I always know the Photo Atlas are a sure thing when they're playing. Last night was no different.

Sarah was hosting the evening of bands, and when the Photo Atlas started playing she definitely looked at Erica and said, "Keep it in yer pants!" HA. We danced through the set. She also introduced me to Ollie and Parker by saying, "This is Jessica - she just got engaged!!!" And I continued to be myself (read: awkward).

Speaking of engaged, CONGRATULATIONS SABRINA! (Srsly, everyone's getting engaged, no? See also: last night's episode of LOST.)

In other news, I finally heard Santogold's new album yesterday and I've been listening to it every chance I get. It's AMAZING. I love it already.

This weekend is Bamboozle! Lovely Colleen is crashing with us, and it starts tonight with some fun parties, including Sarah&Karen's STOLEN TRANSMISSION @ Hanger Bar. Tomorrow I'll be laying low, probably going to the Olive Garden with Sean because we love that shite, and seeing a movie. Parties at night? We'll see.

On Sunday Jesse&co. arrive for their own Bamboozle spot, and I'll be heading to Giants Stadium. Why do Bamboozle & CMJ always feel like reunion weekends?? I'll probably see a bunch of friends who do live in NY, cause our busy schedules don't mesh otherwise. And Aileen's in from the west coast, and Joyce is in from Missouri! Woot! Joyce & I also have a very wonderful and elaborate plan for Bret Michaels. I'll talk more about our shennanigans later...

And, finally, I'd just like to say that I am ever-so-proud of my fiancee. You'll soon learn exactly why.

You can't fake this, only imitate this.

I should probably keep this post short, huh?

Last night was rambunctious fun at the behest of Lady Dagger (&Rob&Gabe, whatever) at Trainwreck Tuesday. Erica and I met up with the girls @ Benny's Burritos for deliciousness in the form of margaritas. ALSO: it was Becca's birthday! YAY! Perry, Jen, and le other Erica were part of the fun as well. We skipped down to Trainwreck with the happy faces only margaritas can bestow, and let the open bar and dance party prolong our fun. A bunch of our awesome friends showed up and kept the night going. Jiscilla should have some hilarious pics.

I left on the ending notes of Young Love's "Discotech," fitting as it is The Anthem of our young lives in New York.

Today was a blur and I spent the evening relaxing. And talking to Jesse. Of course. I get to see him on Sunday, and I couldn't be more stoked!!!

AAAAhahaha! Revenge of the video screencaps.

And now I'm tired. But, one more shout out to Steve, best of friend, whose birthday was today, April 30th. And in honor, I sample an IM he sent me the other day to start a conversation -

He's good at opening lines. Happy Birthday!

Few daze.

Can't even quantify Bamboozle. Insanity. Saturday's best set was the Great American Freedom Machine...closely followed by Muse. Closely followed by the Curbside Gang. Sunday's was Monty Are I. So great to see Steve and those Rhode Island people. New Jersey turned out to be fun.

Monday back at work. Great dinner with friends. Jesse got the Frito (Lay) Pie. Seriously.

Tuesday night board games with Jesse and Erica. Always fun with those two.

Yesterday started out awful. Work didn't make things better. But when you have somebody to meet you after work for some mac n cheese, hug you, check out a reading with Irvine Welsh and Chuck Palahniuk, run some errands, and then take you out dancing...well, your whole day can turn around.

Danced it up for Dmitry's birthday at Sutra with Erica and Jesse. Saw a few other faves there...

Back at work today. Stoked to sleep in this weekend.
