She's scared to death of cobra snakes.

I've been incredibly busy. But here are some wrap-up stories about my wonderful Memorial Day weekend spent with my family and friends:

- Hi Dad! Hi Uncle Arthur! (They found my blog.)

- So, Kells hates period films and dust in movies. Yeah, dust. We thought it was wise to bring her to Indiana Jones! The best part is she LOVED it. Yay! I mean, the three of us were sitting there cracking up at the corniness (oh, the monkey scene) and the myriad of unintentional comedy scenes (Shia rolling up on his moto'cyyyyy). It was a fun adventure movie and it kept us laughing, so I'll thumbs up that one. For part of a franchise, it held great - at least it wasn't X-Men 3 or Spiderman 3 (UGH). Also, pretty cool that they brought back Indy's love interest, and they didn't shack him up with the likes of a 20-year-old Hollywood starlet. Also, that actress, Karen Allen, runs a knitting shop and got a call from Spielberg to her knitting studio asking her to come back. Uh, YEAH, I'm freakin' knitting, I have some time to be in the next Indiana Jones mega-blockbuster...or, whatever.

- Indiana Jones, via someecards.com:

- Erica and I were running to catch the 456 from Grand Central when she ran onto it, and the doors closed in my face. I was so mad that I had to wait. (So much traveling, you know?). Anyway, I get on the next train and after a couple of stops I look up and I realize that it's my roommate from college, Melissa, whom I haven't seen in THREE YEARS (since we graduated, woah!). I snap my fingers at her (I dunno, my voice was gone?) and we have a mini-flipout on the train, along with her friend Jill, that had come and visited us at Boston University years ago. Turns out she lives near Union Square, and I had to take the L, but it was a fun little coincidence. We are getting together soon...

There's my wrap-up.

Oh, also, there's THIS new pic from the Watchmen movie:

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm SO BUSY this week. On Friday I'm jetting off to St. Louis to meet up with the FIANZ. I can't contain my excitment! We're celebrattin' his birthday :)

Lots a goin' on.

Last night Erica and I hightailed it to the LES to see the Photo Atlas show @ R Bar. Ever since seeing them perform at CMJ two years ago, I've been enthralled by their live show and hip-shaking music. So, Erica and I always know the Photo Atlas are a sure thing when they're playing. Last night was no different.

Sarah was hosting the evening of bands, and when the Photo Atlas started playing she definitely looked at Erica and said, "Keep it in yer pants!" HA. We danced through the set. She also introduced me to Ollie and Parker by saying, "This is Jessica - she just got engaged!!!" And I continued to be myself (read: awkward).

Speaking of engaged, CONGRATULATIONS SABRINA! (Srsly, everyone's getting engaged, no? See also: last night's episode of LOST.)

In other news, I finally heard Santogold's new album yesterday and I've been listening to it every chance I get. It's AMAZING. I love it already.

This weekend is Bamboozle! Lovely Colleen is crashing with us, and it starts tonight with some fun parties, including Sarah&Karen's STOLEN TRANSMISSION @ Hanger Bar. Tomorrow I'll be laying low, probably going to the Olive Garden with Sean because we love that shite, and seeing a movie. Parties at night? We'll see.

On Sunday Jesse&co. arrive for their own Bamboozle spot, and I'll be heading to Giants Stadium. Why do Bamboozle & CMJ always feel like reunion weekends?? I'll probably see a bunch of friends who do live in NY, cause our busy schedules don't mesh otherwise. And Aileen's in from the west coast, and Joyce is in from Missouri! Woot! Joyce & I also have a very wonderful and elaborate plan for Bret Michaels. I'll talk more about our shennanigans later...

And, finally, I'd just like to say that I am ever-so-proud of my fiancee. You'll soon learn exactly why.

Too much kahf!+eeeene!

I told you all about my blind people dream a couple of days ago. I should also tell you that I'm really weird/cautious about dreams. I've had dreams with people I don't know in them - and then years later, I meet those people in real life. This has happened a few times. It creeps me out. I get deja vu a lot, as well. And then I saw THIS ARTICLE. Headline: Blind Man Killed Fiancee for Not Wearing Engagement Ring.

Things on my mind lately: blind people exacting revenge, my recent engagement.

WOAH. But funny. But still. WOAH. (Who am I, Joey Lawrence?) I'd say this was another case of kavorka, a concept Christy explained to me about coincidences of the same things reoccuring in our lives once it's introduced, but I googled the word and apparently it's just a male attractiveness thing that was brought up in an episode of Seinfeld (which, really, is another incident of my previous definition of kavorka, given Jesse's penchant for what he deems The Best TV Show Ever).

Moving on before my head explodes...Happy Birthday to RICK!!! Coincidentally (oy with the poodles already!), Rick is my go-to music guru and he just made an awesome muxtape that I've been listening to on repeat today.

My new favorite LOLcat expreshun (haha) is "I had a sad." This is important news! I would have incorporated it seamlessly into a paragraph, but I didn't has a sad! Aka good day.

Also, today is a good day because I get a free lunch. Yes! And there is a salad with pears and walnuts in it and this makes me happy + the freeness. Okay, had two cups of coffee this morning. Must calm down.

I'll end with a picture of a hilarious wedding invitation:

Don't worry, nobody will be getting that invite. ;)
